Rahma, a single mother from Eritrea and her four children live togather in a small unit located in Melbourne's inner suburbs. As Rahma encourages her children to maintain a strong sense and understanding of their own faith and culture, it is through her that the children collectively find the strength, love and compassion as a means of embracing Australian society as they grow up. This inevitably is contrasted with the personal difficulties and disconnect she faces integrating into a world beyond her home.
